This easy to play game will reinforce the learning of all set 1 sounds s, a, t, p and the tricky words no, go, to I and the in a pre-cursive font.

Children have to get the mouse to the cheese. On the way when landing on a sound they find the matching picture and when landing on a star read a tricky word card.

Extension activities can be write the sound, find an object with the initial sound within the classroom or write the word.

As a by product of this game using the die will enable recognition of number quantity.
